  1. H0pe the Conference is a grtand success! I have spent the last month in Scandinavia as an Elderhostel Road Scholar Group Leader, and had opportunity to visit with Swedish Baltic artist Johan Thunberg at his Laxön studio near Skutskär. He has shown often in the United States, including ASI in Minneapolis, Erlander Home Museum in Rockford, Vagnhall Gallery in Bishop Hill, Galva Arts Council, Center City-Chisago Lake in Minnesota, SAMAC in Chicago, Sandzén Museum in Lindsborg, and Nordic Museum in Seattle. I have suggested he visit Kalrstad during the Bridge Conference, and hope he will be in touch. His work might be of interest to the Center at Residenset in Karlstad!
Warmest best wishes for a successful conference! John E. Norton, Årets svensk-amerikan 2010, redaktör, Augustana Historical Society Newsletter.
